Township elected officials serve 4-year terms, which coincide with U.S. presidential terms. The seven-member legislative body of a Michigan charter township, typically referred to as the "Board of Trustees" or the "Township Board," consists of four trustees (general law townships only have two), plus the supervisor, the clerk and the treasurer. Each member has one vote, with the supervisor usually chairing/moderating meetings. Sandstone Charter Township elected officials are listed below.
